Families, Children, and Young People
We’re all about families here at Halton – whatever that looks like!
We love welcoming young people to the life of the church and want everyone to know they are loved and known by God, and by us too.
We’ve got a wonderful group of families and children who call Halton their home and from our very youngest babes-in-arms to older teens we offer a place of love, support, growth, and encouragement.
To help our youngest guests feel at home, engage with church, and to give their adults the opportunity to worship God we’ve got a few groups and other provisions ready for you as you arrive.

Outback - Church for young people
We want to see the future generations of the church full of faith and knowing how loved they are by God! During school term times we run Outback - church for young peopled every Sunday (except the 2nd which is our all-age celebration!) A team of trained, dedicated volunteers who are all DBS checked look after your young person and share the story of God with them in ways that help them to engage and encounter Jesus for themselves.
Activity Bags
We know that younger people can find church a weird place to be - should they be quiet and sit still, will they get told off for making noise, what if they need to move around? Here at Halton we want every child to feel at home and able to be exactly who they are!
We don't mind noise, we don't mind if children need to move around, and we know that some need to be busy and occupied
We've got some activity bags ready for you as you arrive with colouring, fidget toys, flags to wave, and things to play with to keep your hands busy!
We try and make sure that everything we do is understandable and young people are included in the full life of the church community.
Family Celebration - 2nd Sundays
We love to worship as a church of all-ages and every 2nd Sunday is our family celebration.
This is an even more informal time of gathering compelte with story, activity, discussion, song, prayer, and a chance to encounter God in different ways - we hope you'll join us as we celebrate together, all-ages sharing the time.
Creche Facilities
Our very youngest guests have their own space - a creche with age-appropriate toys and things for them to keep them happy!
We have baby changing facilities available and parents are welcome to feed however is right for them and their young person - we can heat up milk in bottles, or you are welcome to breast-feed and we can provide a quiet, private space if you wish.
Please note: the creche is currently un-staffed (though we're working on that!) so we ask parents to stay with their young ones. We have an audio feed of the service into the creche so you can listen in on what's going on.
