FAQs
What do you offer for children and young people?
We’re a church that believes in being a family of all-ages from 0 – 100+ and we just love welcoming young people into the life of the church!
If you’re joining us on a Sunday for our celebration gathering, please know that your children and young people will be welcomed with open arms and great joy. We don’t mind if they are noisy or quiet, if they need to run around or prefer to sit with you, if they want to join in or just watch what’s going on.
We have a dedicated area for our younger guests in the middle of one of our seating areas to encourage all our families to know that they are part of the community and not just shoved off to the sides! We have toys, activity bags, and things to fiddle with to help our younger people settle in and feel content.
Most Sundays we run Outback – our offering for young people. A team of volunteers (all DBS checked and trained in safeguarding) provide a mix of activities that help our younger guests engage and experience faith in a way that works for them.
What are Sundays like?
Sundays are informal, relaxed, and joyous times to meet with God and be encouraged in our faith.
Come as you are and be ready to encounter God through the Spirit.
We are largely contemporary in our worship style and approach, though have been known to sing a few of the old classics from time-to-time! You can expect a lot of prayer, praise, and the opportunity to respond to what God is doing.
Our teaching is Biblically based seeking to be relevant and applicable to life as a Christian today.
We encourage freedom in worship to respond however God is moving – whether you stand, dance, wave flags, sit, sing at the top of your voice, or listen and ponder – you are welcome to express yourself freely. We believe that God is speaking today so encourage use of the gifts of the Spirit and make space for God’s revelation.
What should I wear?
Pretty much whatever you feel comfortable in!
We are far less concerned with what you look like than in helping you to encounter God.
If it helps we know our pastor only has one suit and only wears that for funerals!
Whether you prefer to be smart or casual, just come along and join us.
What is access like?
We have two entrances to the building:
At the very front there is a set of double doors with a couple of small steps into the worship area. Our welcome team can usually be found here and are always happy to help you if you need assistance.
We also have a glass fronted foyer that has level access from the car-park into the building and is ideal for those who are less stable on their feet or use a mobility aid.
We have two accessible, unisex toilets – one by each entrance.
What happens during the week?
We run a number of events and activities throughout the week – check the “Here at Halton” tab in the menu for more information.
