24th FebWhat’s in the news this week? DUTY LEADER today is Nigal Carter. Please see him with any queries that need to be directed to the leadership. Don’t forget – the Annual Church Meeting is on March 11th. Please start thinking and praying about nominations for Elders and Deacons. Vikki would appreciate feedback as to whether you find the news sheet projected on the wall before and after services helpful. Are you one of the people who always takes their news sheet home each week, or do you leave it in the pocket of the chair in front of you? For the purpose of economising, less news sheets have been printed in recent weeks, and it would be interesting to know how you feel about that. Thanks. BMS BIRTHDAYS Birthday Greetings to Ena Parry for 27th February. |

From the word given by John in church last Sunday morning: Do you give regularly to our church? Are you a tax payer? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, are you giving by Gift Aid? For every £1 that you give, the taxman will give the church 28p. For more details of this scheme, please speak to Mick Climpson. BMS BIRTHDAY |

A Note from Eileen… Thank you to all those who support the BMS Birthday Scheme. May I ask that those of you who still need to return your gifts pass them to me by the end of December in time for the auditing of the accounts. If anyone else is interested in supporting BMS in this way, I will be pleased to give them the information. If you would like to include your Christmas greetings in the news sheet, please give them, in writing, to Vikki by 7pm on Wednesday. *** SPECIAL BIRTHDAY *** |
18th NovemberPray for – Peter & Maureen Scholes. Peter’s healing is the subject of a lot of our prayers at the moment, and there have been improvements which we can thank God for. Please continue to pray for him, and also for Maureen – for God’s comfort, strength and peace at this very difficult and worrying time. It’s almost time for Surviving Christmas, and there are appeals for non-perishable food, toiletries, toys and good quality second-hand clothes. If you can help, Mick is the person to pile these goods upon, and he will take our collection to the YMCA just before Christmas. If you would like to volunteer to help, either sorting goods during the week before Christmas, or over the holiday itself, there is an introductory meeting at the YMCA on Wednesday 5th December at 7pm.
