ServicesThe whole church gathers for Sunday worship at 10.30am and 6:30pm. Our morning services are intended to be:
We have many children and young people, families, and older people worshipping together. You will receive a very warm welcome when you arrive for our informal and friendly services, which combine the best of both traditional and modern music with interesting, life-related, clear teaching from the Bible. The first part of the service is designed for people of all ages, after which children and teenagers leave the adults for their own special activities. A crèche is available for a number of babies who come with their parents! The Family service aimed at all the family is on every second Sunday. On the third Sunday of each month we finish the service by sharing Communion together. |
PrayerWe take every opportunity to pray for our world, our community and each other at our Sundays services and in our various other activities, such as smallgroups, Friday Fellowship, Men’s Prayer Breakfast and prayer triplets. |
Baptism and MembershipWe believe that God is powerfully at work in the church today. We believe that, when believers meet together and pray together, we can discern the will of God. Through prayer and a right understanding of the Bible we can know how God wants us to live. From our understanding of what the Bible teaches, only when a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour can they meaningfully be baptised. As believers we are part of the “universal church”. We share common beliefs with every Christian. Baptism is the public and physical demonstration proclaiming what we believe. Becoming a Member of the local church is the next logical step for all believers. We called to live and support each other in fellowship. Being a Member of the church means taking responsibility for the way the local church conducts itself and actively participating in the life of a church. The Church Meeting
The church’s aim is to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus. Membership of the church is the demonstration of a believer’s commitment to this ongoing challenge. |
| Like most Baptist churches we have a Statement of Faith. |
